Taraba: Senator Manu empowers Students with digital skills, starter packs
The Senator representing Taraba Central Senatorial District, Manu Haruna, has initiated an extensive training program aimed at equipping students across his constituency with digital skills.
Before this, Senator Manu had organized similar initiatives, benefiting over 1,000 students with starter packs. The ongoing program, in collaboration with the Centre for National Productivity, commenced on Wednesday and is scheduled to conclude on Thursday with the distribution of starter packs, including laptops and other essential gadgets.
The training is being held across five local government areas: Gassol, Sardauna, Bali, Kurmi, and Gashaka LGAs.
While declaring the program open, Hon. Simon Dogari, the Director General of Senator Manu Haruna’s campaign and his representative at the event, emphasized the significance of the initiative.
“This is not the first of its kind. In the past, our iconic leader organized similar training programs that benefited over 3,000 students across our Senatorial District,” said Hon. Dogari. “This particular program will enhance the skills of participants, preparing them for the digital age and the new world order of internet usage.”
He further urged participants to take the lectures seriously, assuring them of receiving laptops and other tools at the end of the program.
Other dignitaries present at the event included Hon. Alhassan Hamman Gassol, Alh. Shaibu Ishaka Kurmi, Hon. Abbas Kaura, Hon. Dr. Abdullahi Jugulde, Hon. Hassan Bako, Hon. Somalia Sule, Alh. Falalu Manu, Alh. Alhassan Doro, Hon. Mohammed Nagogo, Prof. Yushua Ahmed Bali, and Hon. Muslim Aruwa, Commissioner for Science and Technology, Taraba State.
