A veteran Journalist and Publisher of City Watch News Magazine, Chief Amos Gizo Monday declared to contest for the governorship seat of Plateau state and promised to correct human errors to end security challenges bedeviling the state.

The aspirants stated in Jos when he visited the State APC Secretariat to officially made declaration to contest for governorship seat on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).
The governorship hopeful said that neglect, injustice, population and sometimes religious extremism were some of human errors responsible for security challenges in Plateau State.
He said his aspiration was premised on a 3Rs pillar that would usher in a new dawn of hope for the people of Plateau.
“We wil Redefine, Reconstruct and Restore the lost glory of Plateau. You will agree with me that the dream, the inspiration, the vision and mission of our founding fathers have been eroded by a lot of factors that have grossly destroyed our collective heritage.
“We no longer trust one another, the dividend of democracy which our people toil to harvest are scarcely. Hope is lost not because of any particular leader but system failure which can only by corrected with great sacrifice.
“The security challenges we are currently facing are caused by our human errors which our leaders seem to neglect.
Gizo further said that Plateau people must redefine their common destiny as to what they want and the resolve to live together as one indivisible people under God.
He expressed optimism that his 3Rs I would put state on the right path and would help restore Plateau to its hitherto glorious position if the people resolve to redefine it.
“How then do we redefine our state? We can only redefine it if we all agree to be one people forgetting where we come from, our tribes, religions and social status but making a collective will to live as one. We must redefine our priorities and introduce new approaches towards achieving our goals.
“Plateau is so blessed with good climate for all Agricultural crops found even in the foreign land and locally. Our Tourism potentials must be exploited and agriculture must be encouraged in order to build a strong food supply system to our people as the world over is facing the disaster of food shortages,” he added
Plateau APC Chairman, Hon. Rufus Bature described Gizo as one of the founding fathers of APC.
Bature said that as seasoned journalist, Gizo understands the challenges and strengths of Plateau.
