US: Texas man who killed wife, told her to meet ‘Jesus’ sentenced to 10 years
Texas man Carey Birmingham sentenced to just 10 years in prison after murdering his wife after finding out she was cheating on him.

Carey confronted his 48-year-old wife Patricia Birmingham in their driveway with a shotgun. Right before shooting her, Carey said: “Alright, goodbye. You’re going to meet Jesus, I hope it was worth it.”

Despite the shocking murder, Carey was sentenced to just 10 years in prison and will be up for parole after five years.
“My dad died that day, too, because the person who did that to my mom and my father aren’t the same person,” the daughter said.
“No matter what was said in this trial, you know what type of woman she was, and you know what you did and how he took away my favorite person in this world.”
