Tribunal strikes out Ododo’s application against inspecting election results
Kogi State Election Petition Tribunal on Wednesday threw out application filled by the All Progressives Congress, APC asking the Court not to allow SDP lawyers inspect election results of Okene, Okehi, Ajaokuta, Okehi and Lokoja.
Lawyers representing Yahaya Bello, Usman Ahmed Ododo and the APC filed a motion prohibiting inspection of election results.
The argument was heard by the Tribunal panel.
Lawyers of the Social Democratic Party, and Muritala Yakubu Ajaka were also in Court to argue their case.
After hearing the argument, the panel of Justices described APC’s application as hollow, unwarranted and devoid of merit and was thrown out.
The Independent National Electoral Commission was also joined in the suit.
