Three Transformer vandals arrested in Adamawa

Three transformer vandals have been arrested by the Adamawa State Police Command at Wuro Dole in Girei and Wuro Dole areas of Adamawa State.

The three suspects were caught vandalizing electrical cables when the police apprehended them.

Names of suspects were revealed as, Rabiu Ali, Muhammad Musa and Abubakar Usman and they were said to have conspired with three other vandals on the run to evade arrest.
The suspects were accusing of removing electrical cables with the aim of selling them to a ready buyer which the Police Command said, they will carry out a diligent investigation to unravel all those involved in cable vandalism.
The state’s Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, while commending the DPO of Girei and his men for the effective policing services, directed the Deputy commissioner of Police in charge of CID to take over the case for discreet investigations.
CP Moris also quoted the police boss, urging members of the public to caution and report anyone seen around electrical transformers for immediate action.
Police said the arrested persons would be charged to court upon completion of investigation.
Electrical cable theft has been a recurrent decimal in the North East and North west geopolitical zone of the country.
