Thanksgiving Sunday: Theme for the year: Restoration of Glory
By Pastor Kola Oyekale
Text: Psalms 126:4 TPT
[4] Now, Lord, do it again! Restore us to our former glory! May streams of your refreshing flow over us until our dry hearts are drenched again.
Contend for wisdom, knowledge and understanding this year.
A dance that doesn’t translate to Worship is a dance that satisfies the flesh.
Worship is about your heart expressing the goodness and faithfulness of God.
Praise gets you to a place where you acknowledge the goodness of God.
This year make a choice to sit down and study God’s word daily.
The church you go must align your life to God’s program on earth.
The whole essence of the church is to unveil the program and plan of God on earth.
Our life in earth is a preparation for eternity.
God is restoring his glory to you, the church and Nigeria.
The dysfunctionality of a man stems from the dryness of his heart which is as a result of the lack of God’s life flowing in it.
The reason why the world is in chaos is because people are selfish and unrepentant.
Psalms 23:3 NKJV
[3] He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.
When your soul is opened, the door is open for God’s life to flow in you.
Joel 2:25-26 NKJV
[25] “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you. [26] You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame.
God will deal with all that has destroyed the good part of your life and bring restoration to your soul.
Isaiah 61:7 NKJV
[7] Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs.
1 Peter 5:10 NIV
[10] And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
Haggai 2:7-9 NIV
[7] I will shake all nations, and what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the Lord Almighty. [8] ‘The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the Lord Almighty. [9] ‘The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the Lord Almighty.”
Jeremiah 9:24 NKJV
[24] But let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the Lord.
Romans 3:23 NKJV
[23] for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
God is a restorer. All he wants to do this year is to restore his glory to us.
God wants to pick us from where we are. He wants his presence in our lives.
When his presence is in your life, sickness, frustration, depression and evil can’t stay. No one can stand against you.
Because of his presence in your life, ways will be made where there is no way and great doors will be opened to you.
Run with these scriptures. Read and meditate on them. Pray with them. May the Lord grant us the grace to do all these in Jesus name.
