Student Loan: 36 State-owned institutions captured for students to apply — NELFUND
Students of 36 States higher institution in Nigeria can apply for loan, according to the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, NELFUND, saying those institutions have been onboarded.
The application for loan by students begins effective July 7, 2024.
NELFUND in a post on its official X handle (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, added that the management of the institutions have frontloaded their students data already.
The tweet reads, “The management of NELFUND is pleased to announce that students enrolled in the following 36 state-owned tertiary institutions can now apply for student loans effective today, 7th July 2024.
“The management of these institutions have successfully submitted their students’ data to the NELFUND Student Verification System. We urge all other state-owned tertiary institutions to submit their complete student data to the NELFUND Student Verification System timely to enable their students to benefit from the scheme.”
The NELFUND had earlier suspended the processing of students applications due to non-compliance of the process by State-owned Universities, Colleges of Education and Polytechnics.
