Shehu Sani’s supporters in their thousands rejoin APC in Kaduna

As political developments continue to unfold across the country, over 10,000 supporters of the former Senator who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District, in the 8th National Assembly have rejoined the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

CAPITAL POST gathered on Monday that they rejoined the APC having discovered that Governor Uba Sani was doing well in governance as well as executing the manifestoes of the party, which has been their yearning.

After their defection, the supporters pledged their loyalty to Governor Uba Sani and the party, stressing that they will influence more people from other political parties to join the APC in order to collectively contribute to the political development of Kaduna State.

Meanwhile, the State party Chairman, Emmanuel Jekada, applauded the decampees for returning to the APC. He promised to work with everyone to move the party forward for peace and the development of Kaduna State. He noted that the APC in Kaduna State is open to all, irrespective of any differences.

CAPITAL POST recalled that Senator Shehu Sani withdrew from the APC in 2019 due to confusion stoked in the party that led to his denial in clinching the party ticket when the former Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai was in office.

Their disagreements eventually led to Sani and his supporters’ exit from the APC, while attempt to speak with Sani was unsuccessful as at the time of filing this report.
