Residents roasts 3 suspected POS thieves in Imo

Three suspected POS thieves have been set ablaze by the angry mob at Afor-Ukwu market, Isiekenesi, Ideato South Local Government Area of Imo State after they were caught in the act.

It was gathered that the suspects were arrested after a commercial POS operator was robbed and they ran away with the machine, but were chased following the alarm.

The residents quickly mobilised themselves and surround the suspects before they could finally escape.

The mob who are mostly youths caught them at Mgbee, lynched them, took their bodies back to Affor-Ukwu market, where they were set on fire.

They used three used tyres, sprinkled petrol on them, put them on the dead suspects in the middle of the road, and set them ablaze.

Imo State Police Command was yet to issue any official statement after the incident.
