Report of terrorists’ plan to bomb Kano heightens tension among residents
Tension in Kano State has been heightened in the last few hours following intelligence reports that terrorists have plan to bomb public and other crowded areas.
Kano State Poplice Command acting on the intelligence report has alerted residents of the development and advised against crowded in one single areas for now.
A statement which was issued by the Police Punlic Relation of Kano State Police Command, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, urged residents to cooperate with security agents to curtail the criminality.
The statement read, “The Kano State Police Command in liaison with other security agencies has received intelligence reports of suspected terrorists planning to launch attacks on public gatherings in strategic locations within Kano State.
“In response, we hereby urge residents to exercise caution and avoid crowded places and environments until further notice as a preventive measure to enable security operatives identify and dislodge possible attackers.”
The Polce in a statement said, they were more ready to curtail terrorists evil plans, hence, the police had deployed experts from the Explosive Ordinance Disposal and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear units in strategic areas of the State.

The PPRO emphasized that public vigilance and cooperation were vital to ensuring safety and preventing any incidents.
Reassuring the public of its commitment to peace and security, the Police Command stated, “The Kano State Police Command remains committed to protecting lives and properties as well as maintaining law and order in Kano State. We appreciate the support and cooperation of the good people of Kano State and urge everyone to remain vigilant.”
The Police, therefore, called for calm, urging residents to remain observant and follow all security guidelines while efforts were underway to prevent any potential attacks.
