Ondo Senator Ipinsagba tells FUTA students to begin leadership training preparatory for future tasks

Senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District, Olajide Ipinsagba has told students from Federal University of Technology Akure to begin to learn leadership and training to get them prepared for a better future.

The lawmaker gave this advice on Wednesday when Students Representative Council, SRC from FUTA visited him in his office at the National Assembly, Abuja.
The Speaker of Students Representative Council, Comrade Daniel Adewale and other EXCO members of FUTA were at the National Assembly to witness the proceedings of the upper chambers, adding students’ Parliament, therefore, used the opportunity to pay an scheduled courtesy call to Senator Ipinsagba whom they described as a respected Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

While addressing the students, the Federal lawmaker said learning is an act therefore, enjoined them to learn better ways of leading others where they are in position of authorities.
He said, “You are here to witness the Senate proceedings. This is a learning process, okay? Like I said, you are the mediation of the leadership of tomorrow. You need to get it right from the beginning now, the very heart of leadership, the very way to do it better, the normal practice in leadership, the best practice.
“You need to learn it so that by tomorrow, when you are moving gradually to the hierarchy or to the staircase of leadership, you know better what leadership is all about.
“I welcome you again to the National Assembly and I advised that as you go back to your school shun any activity that will not bring unity among you and pay attention to those new things that will make you better leaders tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the Speaker of FUTA SRC,, Daniel Adewale said the purpose of their visit was to carry out their normal parliamentary visits as students legislators.
“And the purpose of the parliamentary visit is to go out to National Assembly, Houses of Assembly of States, to learn and gain more impact about legislation and I understand what legislation really means. And today, observing the Plenary Session of the Senate we’ve been able to get a lot of understanding about how bills are being passed and so on.”
