The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has hailed the re-election of Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa as a significant triumph for democracy and the people of Ondo State.
In a statement issued on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, Dr. Ganduje described the victory as a reflection of the trust and confidence the people of Ondo State have in Governor Ayedatiwa’s vision, leadership, and commitment to their well-being.
While congratulating Governor Ayedatiwa, Dr. Ganduje emphasized that the victory is not merely a win for the APC but a reaffirmation of the enduring will of the people and the principles of democracy.
The National Chairman noted that recent APC victories in Ondo and Edo States are clear indications of Nigerians’ growing confidence in the party. He assured that the APC remains committed to sustaining this momentum and retaining its leadership role in Nigeria’s political landscape.
Dr. Ganduje, a two-term governor of Kano State, commended the people of Ondo State for choosing continuity, progress, and development over retrogression. He also praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting a transparent, credible, and peaceful election, which he said consolidates Nigeria’s democratic progress.
The National Chairman lauded the security agencies and other stakeholders for creating a conducive environment that enabled voters to freely exercise their franchise.
He expressed his gratitude to the Chairman of the Progressives Governors Forum, Senator Hope Uzodimma, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC, as well as party members and supporters across Ondo State, for their resilience and hard work in securing this well-deserved victory.
Dr. Ganduje urged Governor Ayedatiwa to remain focused on delivering people-centered policies and programs aimed at improving the living standards of the people of Ondo State. He assured the Governor of the party’s unwavering support and commitment to the success of his administration.
