Olumide Ogunsanwo SeaKing303: RCCG says will not interfere with investigation of cyberbullying against fathers of faith [See Letter]

The Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG has replied critics of the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye for his alleged involvement in the arrest of the popular Tik Toker, Olumide Ogunsanwo alias SeaKing303.

In the right of reply dated 10th February, 2025 by the RCCG which was obtained by CAPITAL POST in Abuja, neither isolated Pa Adeboye from the arrest and detention nor admitted having involved in the Tik Toker travail, but insisted that the RCCG would not interfere with the ongoing investigation with regards to cyberbullying.

The statement quoted the RCCG General Overseer to have said during the last Saturday’s Holy Ghost night that, “the Church does not intend to interfere with ongoing police investigation, especially as there is an official complaint filed by the Concerned Christian Youth Forum against Olumide Ogunsanwo (SeaKing303) and others on behalf of fathers of faith, including Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye.”

The RCCG said in the statement which was issued by the Public Relations Unit in the Office of the Principal Assistant to the General Overseer, Worldwide that, it believed the relevant authorities would be professional in the investigation of the Tik Toker and a just conclusion would be reached.

Part of the statement reads: “It is important to properly understand Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye’s statement during the Holy Ghost Service Night on Saturday regarding Olumide Ogunsanwo (SeaKing303).

“The Church does not intend to interfere with the ongoing investigation, especially as there is an official complaint filed by the Concerned Christian Youth Forum against Olumide Ogunsanwo John (Seaking303) and others on behalf of the fathers of faith, including Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye.

“Therefore, we trust that the relevant authorities will carry out their investigations professionally and reach a just conclusion based on the law.

“While Pastor Adeboye maintain a heart of love and reconciliation, due process must be followed. We also caution against cyberbullying and inappropriate commentary regarding Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the Redeemed Christian Church of God, and the body of Christ at large.

“Furthermore, the Church encourages respectful discourse and will continue to promote a culture of honour while discouraging defamatory and disrespectful statements.

“Respect for spiritual leaders is a deeply held value in our faith and culture.”
