NITDA DG emphasizes collaboration in working out visions of agencies of government
Director General of the Nigerian Information Technology and Development Agency, NITDA, Dr. Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, has emphasized the advantage of collaboration in sharing visions of agencies of government.
Speaking at an event organized by AfriLabs in collaboration with Intel, in Abuja, Dr Abdullahi said: “When I learned of the aims and objectives of this workshop, my enthusiasm for our ecosystem was truly ignited.”
The event which is aimed to propel growth and innovation in Nigeria’s DeepTech ecosystem, the DG said, was in line with NITDA’s primary objectives, stressing that no single entity can navigate this landscape alone, hence, collective effort is imperative.
Recounting the vision of NITDA, Abdullahi said, “the agency is aiming for one of digital empowerment, innovation-driven prosperity, and inclusive economic growth fostered by technology.”
Speaking earlier, the Director of Government Affairs Africa and IGA CTO Liaison at Intel, Dr. Bienvenu Agbokponto Soglo, gave insight in his presentation on the socio-economic and policy implications of DeepTech in Africa.
Soglo said, Artificial Intelligence, AI will shape the future of Africa because of its abundant youthful talents if they are harnessed.
