Ministry of Health to host 2024 Nigeria health sector-wide joint annual review

The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare is set to host the 2024 Nigeria Health Sector-Wide Joint Annual Review (JAR).

The meeting, aimed at transforming the nation’s health landscape, is scheduled for November 6–8, 2024, in Abuja.

In a statement signed by Alaba Balogun, Head of the Ministry’s Information & Public Relations Department, the high-profile event seeks to evaluate and enhance the sector’s performance through its recently launched Sector-Wide Approach (SWAp).
According to Balogun, the JAR meeting will feature two core components: technical review sessions to assess key health performance indicators and a high-level political review to secure essential political commitment to drive Nigeria’s health priorities forward.
This gathering of stakeholders is expected to foster a collaborative review of achievements, challenges, and strategic objectives critical for advancing Nigeria’s healthcare goals.
