Military kills 133 terrorists during special operation, recovers Aircraft engines, missiles in Borno

The Nigerian military has fiercely engaged terrorists in several operations leading to recovery of aircraft engines, missiles and other sophisticated weapons across Borno State in the North Eastern Nigeria.

This development was disclosed by the Defence Headquarters during an operational update on Thursday, highlighting significant progress in counter-terrorism efforts from January 3 to February 13, 2025.

Director in charge of Defence Media Operation, Major General Markus Kangye explained that two calibrated aircraft engines from a long-forgotten unidentified crash site in Borno State was recovered.
Additionally, troops seized one double-barrel cannon gun and 16 missiles.
During the period under review, Kangye stated that troops neutralised 133 terrorists, arrested 138 suspects, and rescued 46 hostages in coordinated operations.
