Makinde pulls out of G-5, to lead Atiku’s mega rally in Ibadan
Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde has pulled out of G-5 governors as he is set to lead the Peoples Democratic Party, PCC campaign flag-off in Ibadan today.
Makinde was among the G-5 governors who have vowed not to working for Atiku Abubakar’s presidential campaign.
Other top-notch politicians who are expected to lead the campaign rally are the former Deputy Governor of Oyo state, Alhaji Hazeem Gbolarumi, the former Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Oloye Jumoke Akinjide and others.
Makinde is also contesting for governorship to return for a second term of office, but initially joined the G-5 team who all have lesser stake in next month’s general election.
Other G-5 governors are: Nyesom Wike (Rivers State), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu State), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia State) and Samuel Ortom (Benue State).
But with the development, PDP’s crisis in Oyo State may.have been put to rest.
CAPITAL POST further learnt that all the candidates of the party at all levels will be formally presented today at the campaign rally.
