Late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III laid to rest
The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III who joined his ancestors on Friday night has been buried according to Islamic rites.
The remains of the late first Monarch was brought to Ibadan early Saturday having passed away the previous night.
The Chief Imam of Oyo, Masud Ajokidero, other Imams and Islamic faithful on Saturday thronged to where his remains were laid to offer their final prayers.
He died at the age of 83 after he ruled for 52 years.
