Lagos residents caught popular Imam, four others with human skull, hand over to Nigerian Police
Residents of Adamo area of Ikorodu, Lagos State have arrested a popular Chief Imam and four others suspected to have been involved in ritual and cultism and immediately handed them over to the Nigerian Police.
The Chief Imam, known as Babalola and four others were arrested with a human skull and other parts of a human body before handing them over to Police for prosecution.
Speaking on the development a resident and an eye witness said, the suspects have been detained by the anti-kidnapping and cultist Police Unit at Araro Adamo of Lagos State on Thursday.
The witness explained that one of the suspect who is an Imam confessed to have been working for the Chief Imam, Babalola in harvesting human parts.
“I have known the Imam for more than 5 years and this is a man the whole community is standing behind to pray, someone that most of us are looking up to.”
“People caught this man with the head and some human parts, he confessed that he was holding them for the Imam. This was when the people stormed the Imam house and arrested him together with four of his men.”
Recently, the Ogun Police Command arrested a suspect whose name was revealed as Kehinde Oladimeji and his wife, Adejumoke Raji over similar possession of human skill and some parts of human body.
The suspects were arrested following a report lodged at Kemta Divisional Headquarters by one Chief Moshood Ogunwolu, the Baale of Leme community.
Ogunwolu had told the police that a certain Pastor Adisa Olarewaju, who is a co-tenant with the suspects, informed him that offensive odour was coming out of the suspects’ room.
