Kogi governorship election, most deadly, bloodletting – Capt. Joe Agada

A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the returning officer in the last governorship election, Captain Joe.Agada has recalled how deadly and bloodletting the last governorship election was in Kogi State.


Reacting to the ongoing Kogi State Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja, he said, justice is what the people of Kogi State wants, urging the public to stand with the Kogites at this trying time.

Change of Name


He expressed optimism that the ongoing Tribunal would change the perception of the public that Kogi election was about killings to win election, noting that once justice is served, people would know that there is God.
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its Governorship candidate, Engr Musa Wada, have closed their case at election Tribunal.


The proceedings have been intense in the last.two months with the PDP governorship candidate, Engr. Musa Wada presenting 33 witnesses and tendering documents as well as 240 exhibits which were admitted in evidence by the trial judge.


Video clips were also tendered particularly, the Ajaokuta, Lokoja and other places where APC wrote results.


Governor Yahaya Bello called only one witness, while he relied heavily on the adopted INEC election reports.

Engr. Musa Wada and PDP are challenging the reelection of Yahaya Bello in the November 16 governorship election.

Tribunal sitting has been adjourned till 15th May, 2020 for cross briefing and final note address.
