Kebbi Governor Idris urges Nigerians to be hopeful, says things would work well
The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has urged Nigerians to be hopeful, determined and confident that things would work well in the year 2025.
The governor stated this in a New Year message to the good people of Kebbi State as they usher-in another year on Wednesday.
He encouraged the people to consider the new year as a year of economic revival, which with collective support and cooperation from all would be achieved.
Gov. Idris advised the people to collectively and individually pray for the leaders to enable them fix the challenges bedeviling the nation.
“As we go into the New Year, let’s remain hopeful, prayerful and determined to do something that will aid the development of our dear nation.
“As good citizens of Nigeria, we should consistently pray for our leaders to have the wisdom to salvage the country.
“If Nigeria is good it’s for the good of all of us, similarly if the nation is bad every citizen is also affected,” he observed.
The governor called on those who took up arm against Nigeria and Nigerians to lay down their arms for the sake of peace, saying: “We have no other country than Nigeria, we must therefore commit to ensuring prevailing peace and harmony.”
While congratulating Nigerians for witnessing yet another year, Gov. Idris urged them to support government policies and programmes to give room for more dividends of democracy in their respective areas.
