Jimoh Moshood becomes Lagos Commissioner of Police

The Police Service Commission, PSC on Monday approved the deployment of the former Force Public Relations Officer, Olohundare Moshood Jimoh as the new Commissioner of Police in charge of Lagos State.

Jimoh’s deployment was amid crisis of leadership rocking the Lagos State House of Assembly as the DSS operatives on Monday took over and sealed the Chamber and office of the Speaker, thereby creating chaotic situation, even as lawmakers have to forcefully enter through the exit door with the help of the Assembly workers.

Before his deployment, CP Jimoh, who was previously the Commissioner of Police at the Ports Authority, Eastern Ports.
The Commissioner of Police, Ishola Olanrewaju Olawale was immediately removed before posting of Jimoh was announced.
Unconfirmed report said, the removal of Olawale was in connection with the confusion that rocked the Lagos State House of Assembly on Monday.
According to a statement from the PSC, CP Jimoh brings a wealth of experience to his new role. A native of Kwara State, he previously served as the Force Public Relations Officer and later held key positions such as Deputy Commissioner at the Airport Police, Deputy Commissioner of Finance and Administration, and Deputy Commissioner of General Investigation.
