Fake news carriers are at it again. Immediately the news of Billionaire Mike Adenuga prop up on social media, CAPITAL POST began to cross check on other media platforms, particularly on the mainstream and popular media platforms, but could not confirm the death of billionaire Mike Adenuga.
Mike Adenuga is actually Michael Adeniyi ishola Adenuga and he is the Chairman of Conoil, an oil and gas giant and Globacom, a communication giant and he is a very successful entrepreneur. One of Nigeria’s finest business mogul indeed.
The truth is that he is in 70s and is not dead as rumoured. On Tuesday when his death rumour hit the waves, he was in his office working and this has been confirmed by his close ally and a media merchant, Chief Dele Momodu.
Dele Momodu wrote on his X handle that the rumour of Mike Adenuga is fake news, stating that as at Tuesday November 19, 2024, Adenuga was at the desk working.
He further confirmed that Adenuga personally called him to thank everyone for their concern, particularly as Adenuga’s phone was awashed with calls to find out rumours of his passing away.
He wrote: “Ignore the fake news. The spirit of Africa Dr Michael Adeniyi Agbolade Isola Adenuga is hale and hearty. He’s right now at his desk working round the clock in support of the Nigerian economy. He just called me to thank everyone for their concern.”
Adenuga who hails from Oyo State and controls wealth of over $6.7 billion.
