Group condoles Emir of Keffi over wife’s demise

The POBA National Leadership has paid a condolence visit to the Emir of Keffi, Alhaji Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa III who is also the POBA Grand Patron, over the loss of his wife Hajiya Maryam.

The National President of POBA Mr. Kenzy Ngupar who led a delegation of the Executive Members of POBA, former Presidents of POBA led by Prince Elias Kwaps, Former POBA Vice President Adams Sule,Chapter Chairmen led by the Pankshin Chapter Chairman Hon.Joel Mafwil, and some stakeholders amongst whom were a former Member of the House of Representatives Komsol Alphonsus Longgap,Hon Adamu Kasimu,Rt.Hon Audu Sule as well as representatives of various Sets.

The POBA President, during a condolence visit to the Emir’s Palace in Keffi over the weekend, described the death of the Emir’s wife as a sad and painful development.”

He said the entire POBA family are devastated by the unfortunate incident.

He described late Hajiya Maryam as a mother and worthy partner who has stood with the Emir in his Royal duties and continued to offer support before her sudden demise.

Mr Kenzy Ngupar while conveying POBA condolences, said POBA mourns with His Royal Majesty and the entire Royal family.

He assured the Emir and family of POBA prayers and concern during this difficult moment.

According to the POBA President the visit demonstrates the strong relationship between POBA and the Emir who has been a valuable patron to the POBA.

He added that Emir’s wisdom, guidance, and support have been instrumental in POBA’s growth and development.

“Please accept our heartfelt sympathies and condolences. May Allah grant her soul eternal rest and comfort you, family and the entire Keffi emirate council.

Responding, the Emir, Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa III said the death of his wife is very devastating, but as a Muslim, he has accepted the occurrence as the will of God who has power over life and death.

He said her legacy of love, compassion and service to humanity will continue to remain indelible in the family and within the Emirate.

He thanked the entire POBA for the show of love for the family.
