Former Reps member Bagos disburses N30 million to cooperatives, groups to boost business
Former House of Representatives Member who Represented Jos South and Jos East Federal Constituency Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos has through his Foundation disburses N30 Million Naira as empowerment grants to SMEs anchored on needs and resources assessment.
It would be recalled that Hon. Bagos was overwhelming voted and had represented his Federal Constituency during 9th and few Months in the 10th Assembly before the Appealed court Judgement that removed him for lack of structure.
However not deterred by the setback he has remain resolute in providing soccur to the less privilege, the Elderly, women and Youths.
The pilot scheme of disbursement, which was launched on Sunday, in Jos, the Plateau State Capital attracted women and children as well as cooperative societies, which were presented with their cash amount.
Hon. Bagos represented by the Foundation Project Coordinator Mr. Alpha Dali said that the “disbursement is a pilot scheme of the microfinance scheme of the foundation to cushion the impact of rising poverty and to enhance development, saying the aim is to ensure efficient use of the grant.
“Reputable consultants would provide technical support and assistance to the beneficiaries. They will be assessing the progress of each beneficiary to ensure the money achieved what it was set out to achieve. ”
One of the Beneficiary Rose Zang while Responding behalf of the representatives of women and youths who benefitted from the micro credit scheme were grateful to the foundation for considering them.
She described the grant as a lifeline to their businesses and promised to use the money to support their families and communities as well as the state.
New Telegraph reports that Over 300 hundred business owners and cooperative groups were presented with their cash amount.
