Dr. Paul Enenche’s younger brother, Peter Enenche granted bail after N2 million payment

The embattled younger brother of the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Church, Peter Enenche has been granted bail by the Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja.

Peter Enenche, a former Pastor at Dunamis International Church, Abraham Daniel and Reno Omokri, a former Presidential aide to the former President Goodluck Jonathan are being prosecuted for cyberbullying by the trio.

Whereas, Peter Enenche and Abraham Daniel were arrested and detained in the last two weeks, Reno Omokri has not been arrested yet.

Granting bail on Friday, the Magistrate Court set the sum of N2 million with conditions of providing two sureties of equal amount.

The demanded that the accused should deposit their international passport with the court.

Before the bail was granted, the defence counsel, S.M. Oyeghe, esq argued that defendants are entities to their rights of bail.

CAPITAL POST recalled that Dr. Paul Enenche had filed a defamatory charge, cyberbullying and other criminal cases against his younger brother and others, upon which they were arrested and detained.

CAPITAL POST further gathered that the Idoma paramount ruler, His Royal Highness Odogbo John Abagaji waded into the crisis with other well meaning sons and daughters for Dr Enenche to drop charges against the accused.

The Magistrate further charged the accused to be of good behaviour so as not to jeopardize investigation of the matter,m2hile the case wasjourned to March 26, 2025, for trial.

Pastor Paul Enenche’s two siblings, Mr. Enenche Enenche and Alexander Enenche, along with Pastor Abraham Daniel, were remanded at Keffi Prison in Nasarawa State.

They were reportedly taken to the Keffi Custodial Centre of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) following a remand order secured by the Nigerian Police Force from the Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja.

Pastor Paul Enenche had bowed to pressure by dropping his cyberbullying and criminal defamation case against his younger brother, Alexander Enenche, and former presidential aide, Reno Omokri.

The case was discontinued after widespread criticism, with Pastor Enenche’s legal team applying to withdraw the charges against Omokri and Alexander Enenche.
