Death rumours: T.Y Danjuma alive, well – Family
The family of the former Minister of Defence, Lieutenant General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma (rtd) have debunked rumours making the round, that he is dead.
Family of the multi-billionaire reacted to death rumours on Monday, revealing that he is on holiday to Spain.
Some online news outlets, not, CAPITAL POST have speculated that the ex-military General might have passed away.
Danjuma now a business tycoon is stupendously wealthy, but played a key role while he was in active service during the post independence Nigeria.
He was the Chief of Army Staff from July 1975 to October 1979 and protected Olusegun Obasanjo’s military regime heavily.
Obasanjo later appointed him as Minister of Defence in 1999.
“It’s has become urgent and important for us to respond to the rumour flying round that the Rtd General who hails from Takum LGA of Taraba state is no more, this remains a rumour as it is not true. These are just group of persons who are bent of paddling fake news and using same to gain possible traffic on their sites,”
