Davido announces fifth studio album for early 2025, teases new collaboration with Chike, Odumodublvck
Afrobeats superstar Davido has announced plans to release his fifth studio album in early 2025.
The 32-year-old singer shared the news during an interview on The Baller Alert Show, where he also teased a collaborative project with Chike and Odumodublvck.
The much-anticipated album, which Davido described as “real African records,” remains shrouded in mystery as he withheld details about its title, release date, and featured artists.
Meanwhile, fans can look forward to a new single titled Funds, featuring Odumodublvck, whom Davido called the “biggest Nigerian rapper,” and Chike, whom he likened to American singer Bryson Tiller. “Girls love him,” Davido said, highlighting Chike’s appeal.
Speaking about his decision to remain based in Nigeria despite opportunities abroad, Davido said, “I have to stay tapped in because why run away from home when others are running there now?”
With a track record of successful albums such as A Good Time (2019), A Better Time (2020), and Timeless (2023), Davido’s forthcoming album is already generating anticipation among fans worldwide.
