in the event that the scourge was recorded in Eastern Senatorial flank of the state.
The group expressed fears that the pandemic was gradually on the rise in Nigeria, hence, the establishment of isolation centre in the Eastern part of Kogi State with a population of over three million people would be the wisest way to tackle the pandemic.

Ujache Igala Association noted with ecstasy of delight Dangote’s magnanimous contribution to humanity, saying that posterity would reward him, if he assisted in establishing an isolation centre in Kogi East.

The letter read:

“We write on behalf of the good people of Kogi East Senatorial District to humbly request for your kind assistance with a donation of covid-19 isolation centre to help us fight Coronavirus pandemic that is currently ravaging the world.

“This appeal is precipitated by our understanding of your magnanimity at a precarious situation like this when you have often rendered in the past.

“Kogi East Senatorial District is the Igala-Bassa speaking part of the state.
“The district is made up of nine (9) LGAs out of the 21LGAs in the state with a population of over three million people.

“It became highly worrisome that the teeming population has no isolation or nearby centre, better still any facility that can handle the novel covid-19 that is moving round the world on high speed with high mortality rate.

“In other to be able to fight the scourge of the pandemic, the district need to have  an isolation centre to be used for any coronavirus eventuality.

“The ever growing concerns of our people is borne out of the fact that entire population is left exposed to danger of the pandemic without any arrangement on ground to protect the people should there be an outbreak on the land.

“We have to be better prepared than to wait until the 11th hour before adopting fire brigade approach, which might be calamitous, ” a stitch in time saves nine “,  now is the right time to cry out for help.

“We cannot sit down  and fold our hands and watch the deadly virus consumed us.
“Government alone cannot fight this battle successfully under the present economic quagmire without the help of well to do and philanthropist like you.

“We are very much aware of the huge contribution and commitment you have already made to both federal and some state government since the outbreak in the country.
“We thank you most profoundly for your inestimable contribution to mankind wellbeing.

“We pray God to reward you repeatedly.
“We shall appreciate greatly, if you can extend your hand of fellowship to us at this period of our exigency, with the provision of a centre to help save our lives from the deadly virus that threatens human existence. “We shall make ourselves available for further discussions and collaboration on the way forward should our request is considered.
