Confusion trails explosion in Kano that leaves many dead

Confusion continue to trail explosion that rocked Kano State on Tuesday morning, leaving many dead, while several others sustained injuries.

There are two narratives with reports that the explosion was as a suicide bombing, while another version attributed it has explosion.

An eye witness account who didn’t want his name mentioned said a middle aged man detonated a bomb on Aba Road, Sabon Gari area of Kano State, killing himself, and many others.

But in a swift reaction, Kano State Police Command said it was a gas cylinder explosion.

It was still unknown the number of casualties as at the press time, but a building was hit by the explosion and those who sustained injuries include school children.

Getty images from the scene showed a lifeless man who was suspected to have carried out the suicide as he could be seen shattered.
