BREAKING: President Tinubu replaces Kano Ministerial nominee
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has replaced a female Ministerial nominee from Kano State, Hajia Maryam Shetty.
The replacement was contained in a letter addressed to the Senate President, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabío.
The replaced nominee was among the list forwarded to the Senate on Monday as the second batch.
Senate President in an announcement on Friday revealed that the nominee who was due to be screened today has been replaced at the last minute.
Reasons for the last minute change was not known at the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile, Barr Festus Keyamo who was Minister of State for Labour, Employment and Productivity in the immediate past administration was forwarded as a Ministerial nominee.
Screening of the latest batched of nominees commenced today in the upper legislative Chamber.
