Breaking: EFCC arrests Solomon Ogba over multi-million dollar fraud
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested former President, Athletic Federation of Nigeria (AFN) Solomon Ogba.
It was gathered that Ogba was arrested in a Hotel in Delta State while he was with two women.
Even though the details of the arrest are still sketchy, competent sources said it is not unconnected with alleged corruption issue.
Ogba was President Athletic Federation of Nigeria (AFN) for eight years – 2009 to 2017.
He entrenched in sports administration more than two decades ago. Ogba was Sole Administrator for Sports and later Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development during the administration of Chief James Ibori – from 1999 to 2007.
“Ogba was arrested by the EFCC in a hotel room with two women in Asaba Delta state. He was taken to the EFCC facility in Delta.
“He has now been taken to Benin, the Edo State capital where there is a zonal office of the EFCC,” the source said.
Efforts to contact Ogba has proven abortive, an indication the sport administrator is in the net of the Nigeria’s anti-graft agency.
