Breaking: Suspected Fulani herdsmen on rampage kill 6 amid curfew in Plateau [Photos]
Suspected Fulani herdsmen have again on Tuesday six persons in a fresh attack in Chando-Zrrechi (Tafi-Gana) Village of Miango District in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Investigation gather that the herdsmen stormed the communities Tuesday evening shooting sporadically.
The Secretary General of the Irigwe Development Association Danjuma Auta Dickson in a statement issued on Wednesday morning said If nothing is done to avert this ugly trend, the Fulani herdsmen have agenda to wipe out the Irigwe people.
“As the Irigwe nation continue to receive attack from left right and center over the unfortunate incidence of the Rukuba road attack on innocent commuters which the Irigwe nation knows nothing about and we have continue to distance ourselves from the ungodly act as peace loving citizens .
“Yet, last night 17th August 2021, one of our village, Chando-Zrrechi (Tafi-Gana) was attacked by Fulani Herdsmen.
He stated that five people have been confirmed dead so far at Tafi Gana village of Miango District Irigwe Chiefdom and added that another son of Irigwe was also killed at Dong village in the evening of 16th August 2021 making a total of six persons.
He call on security operatives and government to put an end to the incessant attacks of the people.
“We see this as an agenda and ethnic cleansing and we call on government and the security agencies to ensure the perpetrators are brought to book”.
