Borno State government award contract worth N10.8 billion for dualization of 4 major roads

Borno State Ministry of Works has signed an agreement on behald of the State government for the dualisation of four major roads as part of projects for the year 2022.

Change of Name

The Permanent Secretary assured that the duration of these project will be completed within the period of 12 months.

He further assured that government will try to make sure that the project are completed without destroying any body’s properties assuring they will definitely intervene where necessary to compensate the properties owners.

The contract signed separately with EEC and Obtuse Tech at the ministry of works, musa Usman secretariat Maiduguri today.

Speaking on behalf of the companies after the signing the representative of the Chinese company, Mr. Ling Chao Qi thanked the people and Borno State Government for putting trust and accepting the company, assuring that they will put in good quality.

He said today is important day adding its not only the agreement but its trust and confident that Borno state Government repose on them.

The Permanent secretary further emphasise that the company should at all time take directives from the government and that of the consultant for quality works.

The permanent Secretary .inistry of Works, Engr Goni Ali Lawan said the contracts involved Dualisation and construction of new township roads in Maiduguri, which includeAhmadu Bello way from post office roundabout to Gwange graveyard junction.

-Mogorom Road: from Elkenemi roundabout to Lagos Street junction.

-Elkenemi roundabout to Monday Market roundabout.

-Bolori roundabout to Mogorom junction.

-Construction of roads and drainage at Ngarannam/Umarari

The event was graciously witnessed by the Executive Chairman BORMA Engr Sadu Auno and Permanent Secretaries from Ministries of Transport Engr Babagana Taha and that of BORMA, Engr Abba Gujibawo. Among other.
