APC declares Edo state governorship primary election inconclusive
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared the recently conducted Edo state primary elections inconclusive.
The party made the announcement after an emergency closed door meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) that lasted for three hours on Tuesday night.
Speaking to journalists, the APC National Publicity Secretary, Barr. Felix Morka, said that the party will conclude the exercise in the state on Thursday, 22nd of February, 2024.
He said, “At its (APC NWC) emergency meeting held today, Tuesday, February 20, 2024, to consider the report on the Edo State Governorship Primary Election, the National Working Committee (NWC) deliberated on the report and resolved that the Edo State Governorship Primary Election has not been completed, and has now fixed Thursday February 22, 2024 for the completion of the Primary Election Process”.
