Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello on Saturday distanced himself from other governors allegedly plotting to remove the All Progressives Congress National Chairman Comrade Adams Oshiomole.
Bello in a statement on Saturday March 7, 2020 came amid confusion of Court orders and counter orders that has shut the embattled Oshiomole out of office.
There were reports that all the APC governors headed by the Kebbi State Governor,  Alhaji Abubakar Bagudu backed Oshiomole’s suspension by the Court.
Yahaya Bello of Kogi State is an APC governor.
Recall that on Wednesday, an FCT High Court had suspended Oshiomhole as the National Chairman of the party.

In less than 24 hours, another order from a Federal High Court in Kano State had restored him as the APC National Chairman.

But the party insisted on obeying the first court verdict, since the courts are of coordinate jurisdiction.

Reports that some highly placed party chieftains and some of President Buhari’s Ministers were also behind Oshiomole’s ordeal came to fore when the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC insisted on Oshiomole’s suspension.
Speaking through his Commissioner for Information,  Mr.  Kingsley Fanwo,  Bello debunked claims that he was part of governors plotting Oshiomole’s ouster.

“Governor Yahaya Bello will never do anything that will disrupt the peace of APC.

“His interest has always been the peace and stability of the party.

“He is a true party man whose interest is the continued political relevance even beyond 2023,” he said.
