Against all odds, Tinubu is next president of Nigeria – Hon Bankole
The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader of Persons With Disabilities, PWDs, Hon. Tolu Bankole has called on all electorates to vote the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shettima on Saturday, February 25, in a peaceful and rancour free manner, harping on the need to midwife a seamless transition.
In a statement he signed on Wednesday, the party chieftain charge party leaders, members and all Persons with Disabilities to be vigilant as they perform their civil franchise.
“Barely days to the presidential election, it is obvious to all that the winning train of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shettima as amplified by the nationwide support are the consensus choice of Nigerians.
According to him, “Based on available information both within Nigeria and from intelligence gathered by international communities, Tinubu is tipped to win the presidential election come February 25, 2023.
“Therefore, I want to urge all undecided electorates to cast their votes for the winning team because Tinubu/Shettima ticket has all it takes for the unity, progress and development of the country.
“I appeal to all to be orderly on election day. Let’s all work for a peaceful transition.
“I call on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and all security agencies to take effective measures for better protection of Persons with Disabilities on election day as enshrined in the Electoral Act 2022. No one no matter how highly placed should assault, harass or threaten PWDs as they lawfully go about performing their civic duty.
“Finally, to PWDs, your creed on election day must be safety first. Do not engage in any activity which will put you in danger. Stay alive to enjoy the prosperity order of Tinubu/Shettima administration.
“To Nigerians, this phase will soon be over and a renewed hope will greet us all in shared prosperity, security and progress”.
