AA Zaura Foundation donates baby milk to parents in Kano
As part of its humanitarian programme to end the year, the AA Zaura Foundation has unveiled the donation of baby milks for the less privileged mothers and orphans across Kano State.
The initiative, recently launched by the foundation is one of the numerous services the organisation has put forward in recent times, beside massive support interventions in education, health and economic empowerment of vulnerable groups.
While Kick-starting the initiative, Kano State- born Business mogul, Philanthropist and founder of the AA Zaura Foundation, Abdulsalam Abdulkarim Zaura, said the donation of the milks was to provide relief for vulnerable mothers and children in the midst of current high cost of living.
Zaura, a candidate in the Kano Central Senatorial seat in the 2023 general elections under the All Progressive Congress(APC) ,said it was his desire to make life better for his people that birthed the humanitarian organisation.
He has on several forum reiterated the non-political stance of the foundation, adding that “The AA Zaura foundation has been there, and it has nothing to do with politics, it has been there even before my venturing into politics, and is a single foundation that has never received any form of donation from any individual or group all over the world or in Nigeria.
“Whatever activity the foundation is doing is 100 per cent coming out from me, and toady when you tune into any radio station in Kano, you will hear them giving out food in Kano. You will hear people calling to answer question and win a bag of rice and other items.”
The AA Zaura Foundation, is a community/social impact development, and empowerment, non-profit foundation that is committed to improving the quality of life of Nigerians of different backgrounds.
It supports health and education interventions implementations and empowers women and youths through grants and skill acquisitions and ensuring that Nigerians, especially those in rural areas, have access to basic opportunities.
In what was described as unprecedented milestone, in 2023 the foundation partnered with the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs to give them N200 million for the purpose of building houses for those who do not have houses.
