Nigerian governor shocked that COVID-19 killed Nda-Isaiah
Niger State governor, Abubakar Bello has expressed shock to learn that it was COVID-19 that killed the Publisher of Leadership newspapers, Sam Nda-Isaiah.
He.said the late Nda-Isaiah was a complete gentleman and fastastic in his conduct.
Speaking during the night of tribute of the publisher and politician who died at the age of 58, on Sunday in Abuja, the governor said, he was very close to him.
He said: “Uncle Sam, as I used to call him, is a fantastic man; a man of the people.
The governor said, the late Chairman of Leadership group was always calling to encourage him, when he was infected with COVID-19 in November, lamenting that he didn’t know the same virus would kill Nda-Isaiah.
He prayed God Almighty to give the family, he left behind, the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
Speaking on behalf of the family, younger brother of the deceased, Abraham Nda-Isaiah, thanked the governor for the tribute and eulogies to the late publisher.
Nda-Isaiah also thanked President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osibajo, for their constant support as well as Sen. President, Ahmed Lawan.
A minute silence was observed in memory of the deceased.
