ICDA: 8 persons nominated Caretaker Committee of Socio-cultural group
In a bid to strenghten activities of Igala Cultural and Development Association (ICDA), eight persons have been brought on board.
In a statement sent to CAPITAL POST on Monday by the Spokesperson of the group, Mr. Labran Tijani, said those who were nominated by the Board of Trustees of Igala Cultural Development are: Comrade Goodman Akwu, a renowned right activist and eight others to enrich its caretaker committee members in its attempt to rijig the body for the task of repositioning Igala nation for a better tomorrow.
Others includes, Ocholi Onoja,Yunusa Ilani, comrade Kabiru Tijani, Comrade Shitu Danjuma Jibrin, Comrade Prince Enema Sani Obaje as well as Comrade Barrister Ahmed Salifu, Comrade Emmanuel Omattah and Comrade Umar Oyibo.
However, the Board of Trustees of ICDA called on the general public , especially the Igala community to disregard the purported inauguration of a new Board of Trustees by the defunct Sadiq Amodu Abubakar led executive members of the Organisation, which was dissolved on June 15th, 2020 by the Board of Trustees.
While the Chairman of the caretaker committee of ICDA, Chief Samuel Oyibo assured that the body will address the general public in due course, he said the legality of the purported inauguration of new Board of Trustees of the ICDA is being challenged in the court.
