Nasarawa Health agency Chairman tasks LG Councillors on service delivery

In his resolve to uplift and provide quality healthcare delivery at the local level, the Executive Chairman of Nasarawa state healthcare development agency, Dr. Mohammed Adis interfaced with forum of Councillors in charge of health sectors in their respective localities in the state.

Change of Name

The meeting between the management of the Nasarawa State Primary Healrhcare Development Agency under the leadership of Doctor Mohammed Usman Adis and the Forum of Local Government Supervisory Councillors of health was the first of its kind since his reappointment by Governor Abdullahi Sule.

Given the reason behind the meeting, Dr. Adis told the forum that of Supervisory Councilors of health that there is a need for all hands must be on deck in achieving qualitative and sound healthcare system in their respective local government councils.

“In light of the above, there should be unreserved synergy between us here at the agency, Councillors, and the Local Government Directors on health to curtail challenges confronting our functional operations in the state. He said.

The health Chairman assured that in no distance time the agency will organize training and retraining of Councillors of health to brainstorm on how to perform their duties as political office holders.

” Let me use this platform to called on all of you to imbibe the habit of regular visits to facilities and report back any ctrical observations to the agency for necessary actions.

“To be honest with all of us here I personally not happy with attitude of pregnant women especially in the rural communities for denied themselves opportunity to access health facilities at the time of given a birth I don’t want to pretend Supervisory Councillors have creat awareness on the important of our women to visit health centers near to them safe delivery.

Dr. Adis commended few local government chairmen for supporting volunteers workers with some stipends, calling on other local governments to emulate the gesture to serve as a moral booster.

In their contributions, Director Primary Healrhcare Doctor Madawa and Director planning, Research and Statistics Doctor Sasetu both highlighted some of the responsibilities of Supervisory Councilors and how to carry out their assignment.

On his part the Forum chairman of Supervisory Councilors on health Simon Atukpa Namami informed the health boss that is not far from frantic efforts partnership with the agency to improve healthcare delivery across the Local Governments areas of the state.

They equally, appreciate the warmth reception accorded to them by Dr. Adis and they promise to contribute their quarters towards the development of the agency and the primary Healthcare service delivery in the state.
