Breaking: Ex-provost, Nasarawa College of Education is dead

Reports reaching CAPITAL POST said,
the immediate past Provost, College of Education Akwanga in Nasarawa state, Dr. Rebecca Umaru dies after a brief ill-ness.

Source close to the family told our correspondent in Lafia that, Dr. Umaru died at a private hospital in Lafia.

Until her death, she was one time Commissioner of Education, Women Affairs and Provost COE Akwanga.

The Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Balarabe reacting, described the death of Dr. Rebecca Umaru as a great loss not only to Migili nation, but the entire state.

He prayed to God to grant her enteral rest and give her family the fortitude to bear the loss.
