Reports reaching CAPITAL POST indicated that election materials meant for the nine Local Governments in Kogi East may have been diverted.
Materials were alledgedly handed over to Senior Special Assistants to the governor on security in their various Local Government by the State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC).
Sources told our correspondent that between Lokoja and the various Local Governments headquarters where the distribution of materials to the various wards supposed to take place, neither the materials nor the SIEC officials were seen.
A source who spoke with the newspapers at exactly 9.10pm from Omala confirmed that the materials for the Local Government has been diverted to “God knows where”.
