Pilgrimage: 2020 pilgrimage to be the best Nigeria records in years – NCPC Boss

The Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) Rev. Yakubu Pam has said that the 2020 pilgrimage would be the best to be recorded.

Pam stated this on Thursday in Jos while declaring open a two-day General Staff Retreat of the Commission with the theme; “Total Transformation”.

He said the retreat was aimed at transforming the NCPC staff to be better equipped towards delivering the best in the 2020 pilgrimage and to train staff on safety protocols as it concerns COVID-19.

“I want to assure Nigerians especially Christians that the 2020 pilgrimage will be the best in the history of the commission, my leadership will ensure Nigeria has a good name while in the Holy Land.

“We are here with our staff both junior and senior officers to ensure good result during the exercise for this year, i am promising a good outing which will not only be successful but give Nigeria a new name,” he said.

The Executive Secretary said the commission was currently screening intending Pilgrims across the 36 states which would commence in December to end in June 2021.

Pam said the strict screening exercise being carried out across states was to identify those who had intentions of absconding during the exercise while at the Holy Land.
