Nasarawa Assembly pledges support for State owned hospital

As part of efforts to provide quality and sound healthcare delivery to people, Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on Health, revealed its readiness to support the management of Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital ( DASH), Lafia to overcome most of the challenges confronting the hospital.
This was disclosed by the Chairman House Committee on health, Usman Labaran during appearance of the management of the hospital to defend their 2021 proposed budget.
“Addressing the challenges facing the hospital would not only improve on the health status of the people of the state, but would also boost healthcare service delivery in the state.
“We will do the needful to assist you to enhance your operation.
“As it is said that a healthy nation is a wealthy nation, hence the need for our continued commitment to assist you to overcome the challenges facing the hospital.
In his contributiion, Suleiman Yakubu Azara commended the management of the hospital for its resolute to tackle the health issues of the people of the state.
“You are doing well and I urge you and your management team to maintain the tempo,” he said.
In his submission, Chief Medical Director of Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital, Dr Hassan Ikrama, commended the committee for supporting the activities of the hospital .
He rnumerated some of the challenges bedevilling the health institution to include laundry machine, laparascopic surgery equipment, additional ambulance, additional generator, mortuary fridge among other equipment.
Dr. Hassan pledged his commitment towards uplifting healthcare system of the people of the state through initiation of good health policies and programmes.
