The Federal Government has commended Governor Abdullahi Sule of
Nasarawa state for his agricultural revolution and consistent payment of counterpart funds for every national agricultural programmes.
Federal Government through Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Sabo Nano presented a plaque to Governor Abdullahi Sule, at the end of a round table on value chain addition which held in Abuja.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Abdullahi Sule, Comrade Ibrahim Addara copy which was made available to CAPITAL POST in Lafia.
“The event was organized by the value Chain Department programme of the International Fund for Agriculture Development jointly run with Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.” According to the statement.
“The round table which discussed ways of strengthening cassava and rice production value chain encourages states to establish industrial processing complex for cassava for the purpose of extracting starch from cassava for pharmaceutical, brewing and noodle industries.
The State Commissioner of Agriculture and Water Resources, Professor Otaki Allah Nana received the award on behalf of his principal.
