Kogi federal lawmaker lights up Anyigba 15 years after
As part of his plans to provide major towns in Dekina/Bassa with functional street lights, member representing Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency, Hon Hassan Abdullahi Baiwa has provided solar street lights to the major streets in Anyigba Community.
The solar streetlights programmes of Rt Honourable Hassan Abdullahi Baiwa will be extended to other Communities in the federal Constituency in another round of collaboration with Rural Electrification Agency, REA.
Honourable Hassan Abdullahi opined that provision of solar street lights at night will address insecurity, social problems and enhance economic activities of the ancient town.
He says the commercial status of the community deserve special attention, promising to attract alternative energy to villages and towns in Dekina Federal Constituency.
The people of Anyigba Community have expressed gratitude to the efforts of the federal lawmaker in addressing idleness, social vices and growing insecurity in the town.
They said the replacement of over 15 years streelight mounted by the previous administrations with modern solar lights is a permanent solution to the epileptic power supply to the streets of Anyigba.
Honourable Hassan Abdullahi Baiwa early this year, toured Communities in and around Dekina/ Bassa Federal Constituency with REA officials to map out areas for alternative power supply through solar lights.
