Declaring result of the election held at, Ibrahim Abacha Youth Center Lafia, Chairman of the electoral committee, Comrade, Asokolo Maku announced, Comrade Danjuma Avre as winner of the election.
“Danjuma Avre has been satisfied by law having scored 143 of the total votes casted and is hereby return elected. He stated.
In an interview with our correspondent shortly after declaration of the results, new chairman of NUP Nasarawa state chapter, Comrade Avre thanked members for the confidence reposed in him and other leaders.
He promised to work round the clock in ensuring the welfare of members at all times.
On the issues of percentage payment of pension, Comrade Avre said they will engage government in a round table dialogue with a view to put stop to the ugly trend once and for all.
“We are going to design a roadmap on how the backlog of gratuity can be paid to members in no distance time.
He appealed to members, to give them maximum support and cooperation to enable them succeed in their campaign promises.
Our correspondent who monitored the election process reports that, chairmanship position was contested between Comrade Timothy Maji and Danjuma Avre.
Comrade Maji and his team walkout of the election venue after they foresee failure at the end of the day.
