Bill establishing Nasarawa State Infrastructure passed second reading in State Assembly

The Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Balarabe has revealed that the lawmakers have passed a bill for establishment of the State Infrastructure Maintenance and Haulage fee and other related matters into passed into second reading.
He made the pronouncement shortly after the House Majority leader, Tanko Tunga moved a motion to that effect and seconded by Hon. Luka Iliya Zhekaba, Deputy Minority Leader.
Narrating the importance of the bill, Tunga pointed out that it will enhance the revenue base of the State through private commercial vehicles passing the State with goods, products or natural resources among others.
“In our usual manners as a progressive assembly, I called on members to support the executive bill to pass second reading, this is simply as supporting government towards better life, progress and development of the state”.

While in their spread contributions at the plenary, Daniel Ogazi, Hon. Abdulaziz, Hon. Azara and Hon. Okpoku back passage of the bill into second reading.
Speaker Balarabe directed the bill to House Standing Committee on Works and to report back to the house on first December, 2020.
