Nasarawa government set to sponsor 200 pilgrimage to Israel

The Executive Chairman of Nasarawa State Christian Pilgrims Board, Hon. David Ayewa has confirmed that government would sponsor 200 for this year pilgrimage to the holyland.
He disclosed this in an exclusive interview with our correspondent in his office in Lafia.
Ayewa stated that the board is still waiting for individuals and private organization to come and pay their money for this holy journey.
He noted that COVID-19 pandemic which affected the world contributed delay in the process of airlifting intending pilgrims to Jerusalem.
“The challenges affected is not only, Nigeria but globally which we even think that this year’s journey will not be possible as a result of the pandemic and as Christians, we always keep faith and prayerful to God, who answer our prayers.
“By God’s grace, the national Christian pilgrims had set aside December, 13, 2020 for the journey.
The Executive Chairman of Christians Board, threw more light that a proposal was sent to Governor Abdullahi Sule and he has granted approval for 200 pilgrims for this year pilgrimage.
“Let me also state here that as soon as we get financial backing, we will commence the process in earnest, so we can meet up with the date line.
“We also communicated local government chairmen through State chairman of ALGON, Hon. Aminu Maifata for sponsorship in their various councils, he stated.
Ayewa further explained that, “Our discussions with the ALGON chairman yielded positive results”, as he promised to reach out to us by next week on the number of those councils could sponsor.
“For those willing to pay their money, there is an account which they will pay for onward transfer to the main account of the board. He affirmed.
The State Chirstain boss appealed to people of Nasarawa and Nigeria to continue to support Governor Abdullahi Sule and President Muhammadu Buhari to achieve their desire of transforming socio-economic state of the country.
